Did you answer the question?
One part needs moreSay how far you agree or disagree
You agree clearly in the introduction and repeat it in the conclusion.
Explain and support your view
Your reasons are relevant, but the first one stops before you explain how it helps the country.
This idea stops one sentence early.
You say it is good for the country, but the reader never learns how. That is the difference between naming a reason and explaining it.
Your essay
255 wordsSome people believe university education should be free for all students. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
In many countries, the cost of university has become a major worry for families, and many young people now finish their studies with large debts. Some people think that higher education should be free for everyone, while others believe students should pay for it themselves. I agree that university should be free, because it helps society as a whole.
If a talented student comes from a poor family, they can still study medicine or engineering. Secondly, when more people have degrees, the economy grows and there are more skilled workers for companies. For example, countries such as Germany and Norway offer free tuition, and they have strong industries that depend on well-trained graduates.
On the other hand, some people say that free university is too expensive for the the government. Taxes would go up and other services like hospitals might suffer. In addition, some students may choose a course without think carefully, because it costs them nothing. This is a real problem. However, Graduates usually earns higher salaries, so they pay more tax back to the government over their working lives.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that university education should be free, because it gives equal chances to talented students and helps the economy, even though it is expensive for governments in the short term. It is an investment that a country cannot afford to avoid.

Questions
Is this an official IELTS score?
No. It is a practice estimate based on the public IELTS Writing band descriptors, the same four criteria examiners use. Use it to see roughly where you are and, more importantly, what to fix next.
Why should I trust this score more than other checkers?
Three reasons. Each essay is marked three times and we use the middle result, so one odd reading can’t move your band. If you check the exact same essay again, you get the same result. And every criterion comes with the reason behind it, so you can judge it yourself. It is still an estimate: your exam can differ.
Does it find every grammar mistake?
It lists every clear grammar, spelling and word error it finds, each with a correction you can accept with one tap. It deliberately does not swap your correct words for fancier ones, because that is how checkers make essays worse.
Is it free?
Yes, free during early access. You don’t need an account to check an essay. Sign in if you want your essays and progress kept across devices.
Does it work for Academic and General Training?
Yes. Writing Task 2 is marked on the same four criteria in both tests. Task 1 is coming next.
I don’t know how to start an essay. Can this help?
Yes. The planner shows exactly what the question asks, then helps you build each paragraph one small question at a time. Stuck? Ask for a hint. It turns your answers into a starting draft.
Where is my essay saved?
In your browser, on this device. If you sign in, your checked essays are also saved to your account, so you can open them on any device and follow your progress on your dashboard. When you ask for a check, the essay is sent to our review service so it can be marked.
